48th Barfly Golf Tournament

LAKE PLACID – What began 48 years ago as a season ending social gathering for the North Country’s bar and restaurant industries, the Barfly Open Golf Tournament, presented by High Peaks Distributing, has evolved in recent years into a significant fundraiser for the Tri-Lakes Humane Society in Saranac Lake.

The competition has additional support from Rock Bottom Golf and The Devlin Inn and Suites in Lake Placid.

The 2026 edition will feature the largest field in its history - 132 players divided into 66 two-person scramble teams. The tournament will be played on Sept. 15 on the Lake Placid Club Links Course. The shotgun start begins at 10 AM. Fans and friends of the tournament can follow the action with scoring posted on GolfGenius.com.

In 2025, the Barfly Open generated over $15,000 for the local humane society which cares for our four-legged friends and strives to find them good homes.

When the festivities conclude on the golf course, all participants will move on to the awards party at Wiseguys Sports Bar and Grill in Lake Placid.
