The wheels are in motion for a day of community, culture, and concrete resilience as Jam for Joey, a memorial skateboarding competition and celebration, rolls into the Saranac Lake Skatepark on Saturday, June 28, 2025. This all-ages, all-hearts welcome event will honor the 10-year anniversary of the community-built skatepark and pay tribute to Joey Boyle—a beloved skater, mentor, and member of the Saranac Lake community.
What began as a slab of discarded asphalt has grown into a 5,200 sq. ft. park that represents a decade of hard-fought progress and passionate advocacy. Now, ten years later, the people who built it are gathering to celebrate its legacy and raise funds to ensure its future.

Sign-Ups: 12:00 PM sharp (all ages)
Practice: 12:00 – 2:00 PM
Heats Begin:
2:15 PM – Ages 12 & under (Beginner)
3:00 PM – Ages 12+ (Beginner)
4:00 PM – Intermediate & Advanced (All Ages)

Funds raised will support:
1. Ongoing Park maintenance and improvements
2. The Joey Boyle Memorial Scholarship Fund, which helps local youth pursue trades, creative careers, or education—just like Joey would’ve rooted for
