“Spring Forward” with Franklin County Democrats

SARANAC LAKE - The Franklin County Democratic Committee invites everyone to a family-friendly get-together at Riverside Park in Saranac Lake on Sunday, May 22, 2022, 12 noon to 2 pm. Local Democratic candidates will be on hand to mingle and chat, including Matt Castelli, candidate for House district NY21, who has been endorsed by every Democratic committee in the district.
Loon Works “Scotto the Balloon Wizard” has some tricks up his sleeve to entertain kids of all ages, and Joe Waters and special guests will be playing music live in the bandshell, with Jason Brill acting as Master of Ceremonies. There will be a bake sale, and Freddy B’s Grill will be parked on site with takeout food available for purchase.
Tables in the community booth area include Adirondack Voters for Change, where you can find answers to questions about redistricting and other election law issues, and where all non-voters, of any party, are welcome to register for the November election. At the Climate Smart Communities booth, Erin Griffin will provide information about the New York State initiative to help communities reduce greenhouse gases and adapt to a changing climate. Saranac Lake has already been awarded Bronze status and is well on its way to Silver.
Bring a picnic or pick up a bomb burger at Freddy B’s, meet local candidates, and be sure to leave time for a pick-up game of cornhole! For more info contact Ellen Beberman at 518-637-6653.
